So, yes, God is amazing (giant smiley face!); but sometimes God has some totally crazy stuff planned for us in our life!
First of all, my schedule is finally figuring itself out - time for the nuttiness to begin! I have my Oasis youth group, a supplemental Bible study, another Navigators Bible study plus church! I love it :) so many people, so much fun! (and so many procrastination excuses, haha)
This past weekend, I was selected to go to a leadership convention. It was such an honor! We went to a beautiful lake here in South Dakota and I met so many wonderful people. I found out my strengths as a person, and I cannot wait to apply them in my walk with Christ!
One of my strengths that surprised me but it nailed me on the head was that of individuality. This means that I care about the individual story of each person - I don't try to group people into types and I certainly do not like stereotypes. And I'm just like that! I know that every person has their own story, and only God knows that story exactly. We just try to catch a glimpse of what makes that person who they are. But what makes their walk with God unique is exactly what makes them unique. I could probably write an entire blog on this, but I won't bore you with that.
Anyways, after I got home, I was so inspired! Crazy how God can do that sometimes. I decided that I wanted to share my story with others. Yes, I know I already do this blog, but I wanted to do a more one-on-one gig. So I emailed my Pastor from back home and asked if I could come talk to the high school youth group that I was a part of back when. He forwarded my message to the youth group leaders and they loved the idea!
I'm going to do it kind of like my Oasis group: darkly lit, lots of music and fun, and a short but convicting message. Praying I can pull this off and God's message and name are glorified! I am so excited about this, even though it won't happen until Christmas time. We are even looking at an outreach night where we would invite youth groups from surrounding towns!!!! AHHHH!!! So unbelieveably nervous but OMGOSH so excited :DD
Praying this finds you well, and even if your life seems crazy - God knows what He's doing! Trust in Him :)
God Bless!

ReplyDeleteHow exciting. God can do wonderful things through people when they are open to His leading. Thank you for sharing how the spirit is working in your life. And you're right. God does know what He's doing. Sometimes we don't, but He does.
